Nawiliwili, KauaiFirst stop is Opaekaa Falls, Kauai's most accessible major waterfall. Opaekaa means "rolling shrimp" which were once abundant in the stream. A little further uphill and you will overlook Wailua River, the only navigable river in the Hawaiian Islands. After that head to Old Kapaa Town, a quaint 19th century plantation town lined with various unique shops and restaurants, a wonderful place to take a stroll and see what the local merchants have to offer. Next stop is Hanalei Valley Lookout which offers a perfect view of paradise. Be wowed by the lush greenery of the taro patches, glimmering green leaves, and the moss-colored mountains all set against the deep blue sky above you.
